Career Development Program

A major pillar of our UMW Men’s Soccer Program is the professional development of our players. Our coaching staff, alongside our fantastic Career Services office at UMW, works diligently to support our scholar-athletes in the process of investigating, discovering, developing, and applying for their dream careers after college. This process can often be intimidating to college students that feel frustrated when discussing the next step in their lives. We empower our scholar-athletes, through career tutoring and workshops, to not be intimidated because of proper preparation and understanding of the professional world around them. Beyond tutoring, our players also have the opportunity to re-connect with UMW Men’s Soccer Alumni. Through our extensive and involved alumni base, we are providing an initial network for our current players who may have aspirations of working in particular career fields. From professional advice to concrete opportunities, Alumni involvement sits at the heart of the Career Development Program.
